Mary L. Plieseis-King died April 18, 2014, at Cancer Treatment Center of America, in Tulsa, OK. Mary fought a courageous battle against aggressive breast cancer with grace and humor. A private memorial service will be held. Mary was born January 9, 1953, to Walter and Mae (Molln) King, of Van Wert, IA. She graduated from Clarke County Community High School, studied psychology at DMACC, and Computer Basics in Business at Drake Univ., and was employed by Northwestern Bell from 1971 to 1990. Mary married the love of her life, Vincent F. Plieseis in 1989 and moved to Winston-Salem, NC in 1990. They both used Plieseis-King. They moved to Broken Arrow in 1998. Mary started a crafting business "Aunt Mary Can Make It", selling items designed and crafted by her. She collected friends everywhere she went, enjoyed riding Harley's, gardening and caring for her cats. Mary was preceded in death by Vince, her parents, his parents Ernie and Esther Plieseis, brothers Gene and Marven and her fiance, Ed Todd. Survivors include Vince's children, Russ and Margo, AZ; sisters Evelyn Morey, CA, and Bobbie Kennedy (Jack), Winterset, IA; nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions will be donated to Assistance in Health Care, providing assistance with health care costs for Cancer patients.
