Morton Dean Colegrove, Sr.

Des Moines

Morton Dean Colegrove, Sr., of Des Moines, passed away on March 25, 2014 at Fleur Heights Care Center. He was born on December 12, 1931 in Bunker Hill, KS. Morton served his country proudly in the U.S. Marines for nine years and also served in the Korean War.

Those left behind to honor his memory are his daughters, Deborah Guanti and Katherine (Kris Grimm) Colegrove; a son, Morton, Jr.; grandchildren, Marc (Megan) Guanti, Theresa (Andrew) Colegrove-Jensen and Michael (Michelle) Colegrove; and great-grandchildren, Abigail, Ava, Cole and Lana.

Morton was preceded in death by his loving wife, Phyllis.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 at Glendale Cemetery.
