age 92 passed away on August 14, 2014 peacefully. He was born in Iowa to Solomon Carl Rodgers & Alta (Barnes) Rodgers on November 21, 1921. NK's brothers, Harold and Edward along with his sisters Wilma, Pauline and Gilda lived on a farm in Marion County, IA, farming corn, beans, hay and raising cattle and hogs.

NK married Margaret McPherson in 1944 shortly thereafter joining the Army to serve his country during WWII as a Tec 5 with the 276th, Combat Engineers Battalion stationed in Germany and was honorably discharged. He & Margaret farmed in Iowa for nine years moving to Mesa, AZ in 1955. His passion for automobiles or anything with wheels led him to Auto Sales and later RV/Park Model Sales. He loved to garden, travel to visit family & friends, prepare biscuits & gravy for his family, and truly loved to humor his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Margaret (Peg) Rodgers and sons, Tom (Melissa), Jim (Kristin); sister Gilda Borchert; grandchildren Angela, Rosie, Nathaniel, Amanda, Danielle and Cheyenne as well as great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Harold & Edward; sisters, Wilma Wright & Pauline Colvin; daughter Barbara and grandson Ryan. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 10:00 am at Meldrum Mortuary, 52 N. McDonald, Mesa, AZ. Donations may be made to .
