Robert McIntosh was born on May 29, 1915. He died peacefully on August 24, 2014. He had a great life. He was happily married to Helen Norman McIntosh for 62 years. Helen died in 2004.

He lived his entire life in Davenport until 2003 when he and Helen moved to Wesley Acres in Des Moines so that they could be closer to their son. He served in World War II as a Medic in the Army with the 55th Hospital Train where he was primarily stationed in London and Paris. Many of his working years were spent as a salesman and a buyer for Crescent Electric Supply Company.

He is survived by his three children, Elaine Reinking (Edwin), Steve McIntosh (Danling) and Edwin McIntosh as well as four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Lois Arnell and his brother, Edwin McIntosh. He was the son of Helene and Arthur McIntosh. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Gertrude McIntosh, Edith McIntosh and Phylis Barrett.

A memorial service will be held at Wesley Acres in Des Moines on August 29, 2014, at 10:00 am. He will be buried next to Helen at the Swedesburg Lutheran Church Cemetery in Swedesburg, Iowa.
