Archibald Luther Fellows was born August 2, 1932 in Salt Lake County, Utah, to Myra A. Hatch and Henry L. Fellows. Died December 5, 2013 at his home in Taylorsville surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with Lymphoma. Archie was married October 15, 1956 to Barbara M. Yeck, marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple January 1968.
Archie served in the US Navy during the Korean War from 1951 to 1955. He received The National Defense Ribbon, The Good Conduct Medal, The Korean Service Ribbon and The United Nations Ribbon. His duty assignment was the USS Hazelwood, and served as a commissary specialist.
Archie started baking in the Navy and worked as a professional baker for 44 years, he also worked for McKesson Drug for 15 years.
He is a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and has served as a devoted Home Teacher, Sunday School President, Elders Quorum Presidency and member of the Bishopric and High Priest Group leadership. He loved hunting, fishing and all sports. He taught his family the value of hard work.
Survived by his children, Alma (Sharry), Byron (Lynda), Nancy, Barbara (Bill), Marjorie (Kelly), Archie (Nikki), Jimmy (Melissa), Joseph (Kari). 70 grandchildren and 74 great-grandchildren. His siblings, Arvilla, Richard, Dee and Verla. Preceded in death by parents, sons, Benjamin, Charles, Jack, siblings, Madeline, Burt, Ted.
Funeral Services will be held Tues. Dec. 10th at 11:00 a.m. in the Jordan 3rd Ward 3700 W. 4700 So. Friends may call Mon. Dec. 9th from 6-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 So. 2200 W., Riverton and on Tues. one hour prior at the church. Interment in the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 So.
