James Moyle Anderson, 90, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born November 12, 1922 in Ephraim, Utah to Niels Henry Anderson and Carrie Edna Hansen Anderson. He graduated from Snow College, BYU, and New York University. He served in the West German mission under Edwin Q. Cannon. He married Norma Burnham in the Manti LDS Temple.
Moyle worked for the Department of Agriculture in Washington DC, managed the Gift Foods Department at ZCMI and taught at LDS Business College for over 25 years. He served as Bishop of the Capitol Hill 2nd Ward, and as the favorite gospel doctrine teacher. During his retirement, he volunteered as a guide at the State Capitol, and as a docent at the Church History Museum.
Moyle was preceded in death by his two brothers, Talmage Anderson and Robert Anderson. He is survived by his wife Norma and daughter Kathryn.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Capitol Hill 2nd Ward, 413 N. West Capitol Street. Viewings will be held Wednesday, November 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, and Thursday, one hour prior to services at the church. Burial in Ephraim, Utah.
