Jesse Dokos, 93, of Midvale, Utah, loving father, grandpa, uncle, brother and friend, returned home to his Heavenly Father on January 3, 2013. Jesse was born August 30, 1919 to Nicholas and Minerva Goodridge Dokos. Jesse served his country in the US Army in WWII. Jesse married Vicki Bascom in 1965 and together they raised 5 daughters. Jesse loved to work and enjoyed his career as an interior decorator. He willingly served and helped others with a joyful heart.
He is survived by daughters, Maurine (James) Hughes, Kristine, Tamara, Tonia and Vanessa; sister, Minerva Betzer; and six grandchildren. He was preceded by death by his parents and 8 brothers and sisters. Uncle Jess was loved by all that knew him and will be missed by all his nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Arizona State Veterans Home for the love and compassionate care they all showed Jesse.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 10, at 11 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Midvale, with a viewing from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery. www.goffmortuary.com
