Leland Olsen Obituary

1924 ~ 2013
Leland J Olsen, 88, passed away in his Bountiful home on 21 May, 2013, with his sweetheart, Claire at his side. Lee was born July 20, 1924 in Gunnison, Utah. He enlisted in the army and was honorably discharged in 1946. He and Claire were sealed for time and eternity in the Bountiful LDS temple June 3, 2000.
Lee was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman, and chef. His humor, smile, and tender heart will be missed. He is survived by his eternal companion, Claire Jean Olsen; children; Gary (Shelley), Linda, Dane (Linda), Sharon Olsen, Val (John) Wetzel, and Terri (Michael) D'Amico; brother, Ron (Sara). He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Lillian (Larsen) Olsen and his son, Leland J Olsen, ll.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Bountiful 58th Ward Chapel, 200 N. 200 W. under the direction of Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary. Friends may visit with family from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery
The family wishes to thank Caregivers Support Hospice and the members of the Bountiful 58th ward for their kindness. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to either the Wounded Warrior Project or the LDS church education/mission fund. Condolences may be shared at www.lindquistmortuary.com
