Milton Lee Gibson Obituary
Milton Lee (Gib) Gibson
1931 ~ 2012
Passed away peacefully on November 25, 2012 listening to the music of his favorite outlaw, Johnny Cash. Milt was born on August 16, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to John C. and E. Marie Gibson. He was preceded in death by his older brother Byron. Milton married the love of his life Hazel Deanne Aston on Dec 31, 1968. His love for music and his ability to sing and play his guitar made him a friend to many. Everyone loved to hear Dad play and it was always a family affair. We all enjoyed dancing, singing and "playing-out" at the local lodges, company parties and many other events. He is survived by his wife Hazel, two daughters Glenda Gibson Wilson (St George, UT) and Gail Gibson Hodges (Austin, TX). When Dad met Hazel, he embraced two additional children in his life; step-daughter Debbie Burton (North Salt Lake, UT) and a step-son Mike Gibson who preceded him in death. Having 6 grandchildren was one of the greatest joys of his life. Jason, Cortney, Brandon, Abrea, Cameron and Karli all adored their Grandpa Gibson. He was also a Great-Grandfather to Stella, Saylor and Sloane. Our Dad was a proud veteran of the Korean War.
A celebration of Dad's life will be held on Sunday, December 2nd at The Woods on Ninth, 6775 S. 900 E., Midvale, Utah. We invite you to join us as we share memories and begin a tribute to him at 12:30pm. He will rest peacefully at Murray City Cemetery, cremation niche.
