Peter Alan Schobert passed away unexpectedly on Jan 22, 2014. Pete was born in Fall River Massachusetts on Feb 14, 1946 to Charles and Dorothy Schobert. Pete's father was a bomber pilot in the Air Force, so Pete lived many places from NY to Morocco until he went to Gonzaga University where he graduated from. He then joined the Army as a helicopter pilot and served in the Vietnam War. He loved helicopters and flew every chance he got. He joined Michelin Tire as a sales rep in 1978 and retired Jan 2010. He had many friends he treasured there and stayed in contact with. He enjoyed his 4 yrs. of retirement where he became an excellent golfer, and enjoyed much traveling with his wife Rita. He loved racquetball, sports of any kind, and was always involved in projects and activities. He was an avid reader with a vast knowledge of a variety of subjects. Pete was respected and loved by all and will be deeply missed. He leaves his wife of almost 26 yrs., Rita; sister and brother-in-laws, Renae Roberts (Chuck), Danny Kelly (Kerri); step-son, Kelly Luke (Christy); step-daughter, Jackie Luke Jensen (Jonathan); grandchildren, Landon, Christopher, Sheldon, Brady, Collin, and Josie. He also had a daughter, Sheryll and sister, Karen. Pete had many friends in Salt Lake and cared deeply for them. Pete requested a private military service which has taken place. He was truly a proud American.
