Beloved husband, father, son, brother and grandfather, Ruie Ross Green, 81, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. He was born May 16, 1931 in Tooele, Utah, the son of Ruie A. Green and Evelyn Ayers Green. He received his Bachelor's Degree at Westminster College and advanced degrees at Brigham Young University. His career began as a police officer, but later moved into social work and psychology at the Utah State and Arizona State Prisons. He also taught as a professor at Central Arizona College. Ruie is a U.S. Navy veteran and fought for his country in the Korean War. He married his sweetheart, Bernice Renaie Green, on July 27, 1953. They were sealed 8 years later in the Salt Lake Temple. They enjoyed nearly 59 years of marriage. Ruie had a unique sense of humor and was always making his family laugh. He enjoyed life and loved to spend the winters with his "Bride" in Arizona and St. George. He loved having his grandkids draw on his arms and legs. He had his own dictionary of words and phrases that only his family would understand. He loved making up silly tunes he would sing to his kids and grandkids…tunes which are still sung by his family today. He loved old western music and John Wayne. He took great pride in each of his children. He was a "tough" guy, but was also very caring and not afraid to tell you he loved you. He was a strong, good man and he loved a lot of things, but most of all, he loved his beloved "MamaBaby". He will be dearly missed, but lives on through his large family. Until we meet again!
