Our beloved, Todd Stephens Eagar passed away at his home in Palm Desert, California on July 20th.
He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 22, 1927 to Leo and Vernah Eagar and was the oldest of three children.
Todd was an Eagle Scout and later joined the Navy. He was president of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity at the University of Utah. After graduating he followed his dream of becoming a successful Realtor. He formed Eagar & Company Real Estate and continued to sell real estate when he moved to Palm Desert in 1999.
In 1958 he married his beautiful wife Sylvia McGhie. They shared 54 years of exciting adventures and especially loved spending time at their homes in Maui, Hawaii and Pebble Beach. He loved collecting antiques and especially admired classic antique cars.
He was a founding member of the "Holiday Investors" and "Maui Whale Watchers." Todd made lasting memories at the Salt Lake Country Club, Alta Club and Cottonwood Club. Always upbeat and positive, Todd saw the best in everything.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia and children: Randy Eagar (Cherilyn) and Lisa Novetzke, (Andrew). Grandchildren: Tiffany, Rich, Maxwell and Zeke and Great grandchild: Allison. He is also survived by his brother, Brent.
He was preceded in death by parents and his sister, Donna Faye Moore.
Dad was loved and admired by all that knew him and will truly be missed.
A celebration of his life will be held July 30th, 2013 from 4-6 p.m. at The Town Club, 1081 East South Temple St. Salt Lake City, Utah. In lieu of flowers you may donate to the Humane Society.
