Tony Ballatore Obituary
1924 ~ 2013
Anthony "Tony" Ballatore born Dec 9,1924. Son of Diego (Sam) Ballatore and Mayme Rubino Ballatore, passed away February 13, 2013.
Tony was a kind, loving man who will be missed. He worked for Otto Buehner Concrete Co. for 44 years. He was an artist with stone and concrete. He served in the Army during WWII in the South Pacific. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and yard work. His pride and joy was a 1956 Chevy pickup. He taught his family honesty, integrity, work ethics and love through example. He loved babies and children and spent hours entertaining them. His pleasant demeanor drew people to him. He enjoyed all those around him and always had a quick comeback or comment.
Preceded in death by his wife Lillian, parents and two sisters, Julie and Josephine. Survived by brothers Dick and Frank, sons Dennis (Launa) and Steve (Kathie); grandchildren, Lauri (Steve), Gary, Tazia (Andrew) and Tycee. Adopted grandchildren Christy and Jonathan; great-¬grandchildren DeAnna, Treydon and Ambrea; also 8 step-grandchildren and 14 step-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to give thanks to all the staff of the Wentworth/ Stratford assisted living centers and Summit Hospice, especially to Mindy, Hector, Ronda, Annette and Wes.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 11:00am at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:45am prior to the service. Interment to follow at the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Online condolences: www.larkincares.com
