Eierman Adele Eierman "Del", 91, of Columbus, died peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the home of her daughter in McKinney, Texas. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 27, 1921 to Ray and Margaret Corbin. She was a graduate of North High School. Adele met her husband Jack when they worked together at the Columbus Blank Book Company. They were married on June 28, 1947 and enjoyed 58 years of marriage until his death in 2005. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Ray, and her sisters Vera and Kathleen. She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Tom) of McKinney; son, Richard of Columbus; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Ami), Shannon (Dan) and Justin; three great granddaughters; several nieces and nephews. She loved Columbus and lived there until the last 9 months of her life. She was devoted to her family and always enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a career as an administrative assistant for Kingshill Management Company and retired in 1982. She had a love for gardening, wonderful neighbors at her Columbus home, and in her later years spent time with her bible study friends. She was a longtime member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 9 at Maple Grove United Methodist Church located at 7 W. Henderson Road, Columbus with Pastor Glenn Schwerdtfeger officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. A lunch will be served immediately following the service. Arrangements are entrusted to RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085. We wish to thank Hospice and especially her two caregivers, Penny and Donna, who took such wonderful care of her in her last days. In lieu of flowers, a Memorial contribution may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. in her name.
