Heskett Adnelle Harvey Heskett, 98, of Upper Arlington, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014. She is preceded in death by husband Virgil L. Heskett, parents Sterling Goodwin Harvey and Fern Willison Harvey, brother John Harvey and sisters Helen Jean Dove, Louise Metzger and Virginia Jones. Adnelle is survived by her son, Gene Harvey (Kathleen) Heskett; granddaughter, Kristen Heskett (Benjamin) Buss; sisters, Fern Shewmaker and Clara Ann Colabrese; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Adnelle graduated from The Ohio State University. She was a member and officer of the Advisory Board of The Ohio State University Alumnae Scholarship Housing Board. She was a member of the American Association of University Women; Ann Simpson Dark Chapter, Daughters of American Revolution and the Columbus Rock and Mineral Society. Adnelle received the Josephine S. Failer Award from The Ohio State University Alumni Association and was named Outstanding Club Woman for 1969 by the Columbus Citizen-Journal. She, with her husband, gave elementary school classes in Geology with their collection of rocks and minerals. Adnelle was a lifelong Buckeye, world traveler and rock hound. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME, 2383 NORTH HIGH STREET, COLUMBUS with Rev. Philip Brooks, officiating. Burial Sunset Cemetery.
