Collins Ann Marie Collins, 71, of Groveport, died on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Mount Carmel West Hospital in Columbus. Born on June 16, 1943 to the late Arthur and Catherine Wuellner, Ann was a 1961 graduate of Bishop Hartley High School. She received her bachelor's degree from the College of St. Mary of the Springs in 1965 and earned her Master's in Education from the Ohio State University in 1968. Ann was the organist at St. John XXIII Catholic Church for 13 years and was a past choir director at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Groveport for 11 years. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Bernie; children, Katie Labbon, David (Mary) Collins, and Julie (Mykel) Keenan; son-in-law, Lon (Katya) Wheeler; grandchildren, Seth, Collin, Trinny, and Dasha Wheeler, and Calvin Collins, Dora Henry, and Sophia and Sara Labbon; sisters, Jean (Donald) Safreed and Carol (Michael) VanPaepeghem; special friend, Carolyn Howard; and many relatives and friends. Ann was preceded in death by her daughter Molly Wheeler. Friends may visit from 1-3 and 5-6:30 p.m. on Sunday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH 43110, where a vigil service will be held at 6:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. John XXIII Catholic Church, 5170 Winchester Southern Rd., Canal Winchester, OH 43110. Interment at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens. The family requests that those coming to the visitation bring a non-perishable food item that will be donated in Ann's memory.
