Saunders Barbara "Jean" Saunders of Reynoldsburg, passed away December 22, 2013 from complications of breast cancer. Jean was born October 30, 1933 in Autreyville, Georgia, to the late T. Grady and Grace (Horton) Lanier. Jean was a realtor in the Columbus area for over 45 years working at J. Elmer Redd Realtors, HER Realtors, ReMax and Coldwell Banker- King Thompson. Over the span of her career she was a top producer and member of the Million Dollar Club. Jean befriended both clients and colleagues resulting in life-long friendships. She was a member of LifeStream and several other organizations. Her many friends sustained her during her illness and Jean's family is deeply grateful to those attending angels. Jean is survived by her children, Connie (Robert) Peterson and Christi (Marvin) Graber; her brother, Jack (Mary Lou) Lanier; her grandchildren, Rachel and Ben; two great grandchildren; and her nephew and nieces. Jean had a deep compassion for people and animals, enjoyed her humming birds and gardening, loved the cultural arts, traveling, reading and being a grandmother. She was progressive, outspoken, witty, kind and a loyal friend. Jean was a thirty-year old trapped in an eighty year old body. We will all miss her dearly. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Unity East Church, 170 E. Columbus Street, Pickerington.
