Charles L. Brill Obituary
BRILL Charles L. Brill, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012. He was born in Columbus on August 24, 1926. He proudly served our country in the US Navy during WWII on the USS Midway, as well as during the Korean Conflict. He worked for several years at Ditto, Inc. in Rhode Island where he met and married Carole Caliento. He then worked for Drumstick, which later became the Nestle Corp. from where he retired. Chuck was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, VFW Post 4719, and the American Legion Post #797. He was a flagman at St. Clairsville Speedway, Atomic (KC Raceway), and Columbus Motor Speedway. He also drove stock cars in Seekonk, Massachusetts. He was preceded in death by his mother Gertrude Graham, daughter Susan Brill and brother Russell Brill. Chuck is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Carole Brill; children, Charles P. (Deana) Brill, Patty Shaw, Charlene (Jeff) Kriebel, Tina (Gregory) Sherman, and Carole Coey (Ross Staggs); grandchildren, Billy, Michelle, Christine, Ashley, Danielle, Brittney, Zachary, Steven, Nicholas, and Paige; five great-grandchildren; nephew, Rusty (Terry) Brill; and many other wonderful friends and family members, including his special uncle, Guido DelVacario. Family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, November 25, at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, with a Catholic prayer service at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 4383 E. Broad St., Columbus. Fr.
