Lindamood Ella Mae (Hampton) Lindamood, died July 24, 2014 and went to be with our Lord and her parents, Ruby Jane (Cox) Hampton and Reaves Granville Hampton and her sister Juanita (Hampton) Brown. Ella Mae graduated from Galax High School in Galax, Virginia, then attended Radford University in Radford, Virginia where she graduated with a B.S. degree, majoring in English and Elementary Education. She later did some work through the University of Virginia. In 1953 she was married to John B. Lindamood and in 1955 their daughter, Sherie Ann Lindamood was born. Ella Mae's priority in life was always her family. She was a dedicated and loving daughter, wife and mother. After having lived in Sulphur Springs, Texas and Oregon, Illinois she and her family moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1961. Throughout her life she enjoyed many special interests. Among them are reading, bowling, knitting, table/card games, gardening, croquet, cooking, studying grammar and literature and she loved children. Ella Mae was a past member of The Ohio State University Mother's Club and of The Ohio State University Agricultural Circle. She had been a member of Karl Road Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) since 1973. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Dr. John B. Lindamood; and by her daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Sherie Ann Lindamood and Dr. James Croson of Mount Dora, Florida. Family will receive friends Monday, July 28, 2014 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Karl Road Christian Church, 5400 Karl Road. Private burial will be observed by the family.
