Hudecek Frank "Chick" Hudecek, age 89, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013. He was born in Manhasset, New York and moved to Ohio in 1961. Frank retired from Augsburg Publishing House after 31 years and The Columbus Maennechor after 32 years. He was a Veteran of World War II as a USMC Corporal 5th Marine Division, served in Iwo Jima and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a member of Sokol NY Gymnastic Association and Grove City Post #8198 VFW. His bright smile and warm and loving nature will be cherished and missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Anne; son, Gary; daughter, Kristi; daughter-in-law Gabrielle; grandchildren, Matthew, Glenn (Jill), Kellyanne (Mike), Shaun (Sarah), Gary Joseph, Morgan, Taylor, Jasmine; great grandchildren, Cameron, Ciera, Riley, Olivia, Shaun II, TreShaun; and a host of loving family, friends and neighbors. Preceded in death by his father Frank, mother Frances, first wife Irene; son Frank, brother Martin. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 4171 E.
