Moorman Frank (Pat) Patterson Moorman, age 68 of Pickerington, Ohio, lost his battle with cancer on February 16, 2013, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 5, 1944, to the late Victor and Virginia Moorman and grew up in Mingo Junction, Ohio. He was devoted to his family as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and loyal friend. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Barbara (Zaslocki); daughters, Kim (Tom) Collom, Kelly (Brett) Miller, and Lori (Marcus) Gischel; grandchildren, Ben, Tammy, Matt, A.J., Ryan, and Whitney; brothers, Mont (Marilyn) Moorman, James (Diane) Moorman, William Moorman; sisters, Shirley (John) Holt and Virginia (Allan) Simon; and his very dear aunt, Mary Alice Smith; plus many more dear family and friends. After graduating from Mingo High School in 1962, he attended Ohio State University and pursued a career in land surveying. He also proudly served his country in the US Navy. He enjoyed the outdoors and gardening, spending time with his family, playing with his grandkids and spoiling his dog, Lilly. Remembered as a gentle, soft-spoken man, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbors and the community. Friends may visit Tuesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Road North (St. Rt. 256), Pickerington, OH, where the funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday. Interment St. Josephs Cemetery, Lockbourne, OH.
