EDGERTON Gloria Jean Edgerton, 62, of Columbus, Ohio, departed this life on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. She was born on November 17, 1950 the daughter of Edward and Shirley Edgerton in Keystone, West Virginia. Gloria graduated from Northfork High School in Northfork, West Virginia, received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from West Virginia State College, and received her Master's Degree from The Ohio State University. She was a teacher and administrator in the Columbus City School District. She was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (AKA). Gloria loved the Lord. She read her bible daily and regularly attended Faith Ministries Church. She enjoyed exercising, playing sports, rode her bicycle for several years in the (GOBA) Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure and traveling. She was preceded in death by her mother Shirley Brown Edgerton, grandparents, several aunts and uncles. She leaves to cherish her memory, her father, Edward Edgerton; one sister, Donzella Edgerton of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Darryle (Marissa) Edgerton; nephews, Devan'te, Juwan Edgerton, all of Colorado Springs, Colorado; niece, Tiffany (Ron) Edgerton and sons, Teon, Ty'shon and Ron Jennings of Columbus, Ohio; a host of family members and friends. Service for Gloria Edgerton will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Bethel AME Church, 2021 Cleveland Avenue, Columbus, Ohio. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until time of service which will be at 2 p.m. wth Reverend Dr. John E. Freeman, Officiator, Reverend Cleo Brenda Freeman, Eulogist. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, Olentangy River Road, Columbus, Ohio. Arrangements entrusted to PORTER-QUALLS-DUNLAP FUNERAL HOME, Springfield, Ohio.
