Warner Iola Marie Warner, 95, of Findlay, died at 10:54 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at her residence. Iola was born on October 2, 1918 in Harrisonville, Ohio to the late Benjamin and Dorothy (Dye) Fornof, and graduated from South High School in Columbus, Ohio in 1936. She married Eugene F. Warner on August 7, 1948 and he preceded her in death on June 17, 1992. Surviving are three children, Martin J. (Dr. Jean) Warner of Annapolis, Maryland, Ann Marie Warner of Columbus, Ohio, Gail L. (Phillip) Minerich of Austin, Minnesota; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Iola was preceded in death by a brother Robert Fornof. She was a veteran, serving in the Women's Reserve of the U.S. Coast Guard during WW II. Iola was an active member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Findlay, where she served as Sunday School Superintendent and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the Luther Club, and W.E.L.C.A. at the church, and also a member of Aviation Pioneers. Visitation will be held at KIRKPATRICK-BEHNKE FUNERAL HOME from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2014 and also for one hour (1-2 p.m.) prior to the service Saturday at the church. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Robert Cochran and Chaplain Mike Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay, with Military Graveside Rites conducted by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad.
