Obituary Condolences

Webb Janet W. Webb, nee Weir, age 82, born on November 17, 1931, passed away on March 27, 2014 in the city of her birth, Columbus, Ohio. Janet was preceded in death by her loving husband William Joseph Webb, parents Carroll B. and Florence K. Weir and older sister Patricia W. Arend. Left to cherish her memory are children, Carol (Jack) Catlin, William (Kay) Webb, and Diane (David) Dortmund. Also mourning her loss are grandchildren, Jennifer Catlin, Elizabeth (Joe) Noland, Connie, Ben, and Wesley Webb, Lauren and Meredith Dortmund; and great-grandson Patrick John Noland. Janet is also survived by other Arend and Mudrak extended family members. Janet was a devoted North High School Polar Bear graduate. She attended The Ohio State University and was an active Pi Beta Phi member. Janet was a devoted Navy wife and avid supporter of husband Bill's career with Borden's. Janet loved gardening and was a Past President in the Worthington Hills Garden Club. Janet had a servant's heart. She was a forty plus year member of the Worthington United Methodist Church serving on the Alter Guild, Church Board, and the Sarah Circle. Other acts of service were to the community with her volunteering at Riverside Methodist Hospital and as an avid blood donor to the American Red Cross. Friends may call from 9:30-11 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2014 at the WEIR-AREND FUNERAL HOME, 4221 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43214, (3 blocks S. of Henderson Rd.), where the service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. Pastor Bob Mathis officiating. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery.
