CHRISTIN, SR. John Joseph "Jack" Christin, Sr., 88, died peacefully on October 6, 2012 in his home in Palm City, Florida. Survivors include, his wife of 21 years, Ethel Christin; children, Link Christin, Cindy Christin, Cathy Palombi, Tracy Parrill and Jack Christin, Jr.; and step-father to Jane Power, Dede Roan and Susan Schmeiser. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Alyce Link Christin in 1989 whom he married in 1952. Jack grew up in Columbus and raised his family there until re-locating to Los Angeles in 1971. He joined North American Aviation (later Rockwell International) in 1958 and had a stellar career there in Columbus, Los Angeles and Pittsburgh until his retirement in 1989 at the position of VP, Investor and Community Relations. He was a graduate of OSU with a degree in accounting and a lifelong fan of the Buckeyes. There will be a celebration service in Pittsburgh, PA at a future date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Library Foundation of Martin County, the Lyric Theatre in Stuart, FL, or the Tykes and Teens organization of Martin County. Arrangements are under the direction of the FOREST HILL FUNERAL HOMES PALM CITY CHAPEL. An online registry is available at:
