Arris Judith "Judy" Arris, 79, of Canton, passed away on January 24, 2014. Judy was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 7, 1934 and was raised in Gahanna. She felt her main accomplishments were Aimee, Michele and being lead drum majorette for Gahanna Lincoln Lions Marching Band. She attended the Ohio State University and remained an enthusiastic Buckeye Football Fan. Judy was an avid reader, enjoyed Bridge and crossword puzzles. She had many wonderful memories of time spent with her family at Ostego Lake, Michigan and southern Florida. She was always compassionate and put others first throughout her life. She will be deeply missed by her family. Preceded in death by her husband George, parents Kenny and Katy Weimer, brother Bill and in-laws E. George and Mae Arris. She is survived by her daughters, Aimee (Jerry) Hetrick and Michele (Gary) Oren; sister, Gerri Benner and friend, Nancy Trhlik. She was a loved and devoted grandmother to Sean Hetrick, Aaron (Jamie) Hetrick and Stephanie (Bob) Messinger; great grandchildren, Stella Rose Hetrick, Hannah Kraft, Michael Hetrick, Karis Ledferd and Kierra Messinger. The family wishes to thank Dr. Steven Grossman and the staff of Aultman Hospice for their conscientious and loving care for Judy and her family. Memorial service will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the REED FUNERAL HOME CANTON CHAPEL. Family and friends may visit from 5-7 p.m. prior to the service.
