Irelan Julia "Judy" Sellers Irelan, 78, of Columbus, passed away on February 9, 2014 in Longboat Key, Florida. Judy was born December 11, 1935, in Ithaca, New York, the daughter of the late George and Eliza Sellers. Judy attended Upper Arlington High School, Columbus School for Girls and graduated from Buchtel High School in Akron. Judy then attended Dennison University for three years, where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and The Ohio State University for one year, where she met Vic, the love of her life. Judy and Vic were married on October 4, 1957. Shortly after they moved to St. Louis for Vic's job and then moved back to Columbus in 1959. Vic and Judy moved to Powell in 1972 where their children attended Olentangy High School. Judy was active in many parent organizations while her children were growing up. Gardening was one of Judy's favorite past-times and she was a long time member of Franklin County Garden Club, serving as an officer for a few years. Judy enjoyed volunteering on the Women's Board of the Central Ohio Diabetes Association and at the Riverside Hospital and was a former member of Liberty Presbyterian Church. Family and friends were Judy's love and delight. She grew up spending summers at Walloon Lake in Upper Michigan and shared her affection of the area with her children and grandchildren over the years. Judy loved to entertain and frequently hosted warm gatherings for family and friends. Judy was a member of Longboat Key Club in Sarasota, Florida and a former member of Worthington Hills Country Club where she enjoyed many rounds of golf with Vic and friends. Together Judy and Vic loved attending OSU sporting events, including out of town OSU football games with friends. They also enjoyed traveling; some of their favorite trips were to Ireland and Scotland, and traveling in their motorhome throughout the United States. Judy was predeceased by her parents. Judy is survived by her husband, Vic; brother, Jack Sellers of Reedsport, Oregon; children, Vicki (Bob Howe), Dave (Rose) of San Diego, Tom (Tanya) and Rich (Lori); and ten loving grandchildren, Amanda (fiancé, Tom Seguin) and Lauren, Rachel, Banks and Olivia, Bailey and Maddie, Jordyn, Brady and Nick; and many Sellers family cousins.
