Harrington Kathryn Harrington (or Tootie, as her family knew her) was born July 10, 1921 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Her parents were Arthur Harder and Lora Hoop Harder. She graduated from The Ohio State University. She married Reed Harrington Jr. in 1950 in Columbus. Together they enjoyed traveling with their camper and sharing campsites and horseshows with their children and grandchildren. She loved gardening, sewing, and cooking. She was an active member of her garden club and of the Indian Run Methodist Church in Dublin, OH. Never one for sitting still, she enjoyed trying new recipes for family gatherings and going for drives to see the seasons. She was always happy to see her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tootie is survived by her son, Steve (Melinda) Harrington of Columbus; and by her daughters, Linda (Jim) Hayward of Logan and Sally (Brian) Mulherin of Centerburg; and by her eight grandchildren, Elizabeth Harrington of Columbus, Christopher Harrington of Columbus, Kristin (Christoph) Strobel of Chelmsford, MA, Marcy (Vince) Crisler of Alexandria, VA, Erin (Allan) Andersen of Baltimore, MD, Eric Mulherin of Columbus, Kari (Aaron) Briggs of Centerburg, Maggie Mulherin of Centerburg. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren and many loving friends. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Reed Harrington Jr. and her brother Art (Bus) Harder. On April 6 at 10 a.m., a memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Logan. Her family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the Carlin House staff for the loving care and support over the past 18 months.
