Wanous Kay Wanous, age 93, of Dublin, Ohio, died peacefully on Saturday, December 28, 2013 just two weeks shy of her 94th birthday. She married Bud Wanous in 1950, and they lived together in Diablo, California until relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1966. For a number of years, they retired in Palm Harbor, Florida, and then moved to Columbus, Ohio to be near their daughter's family. She was a volunteer with the Cincinnati Art Museum. Kay enjoyed traveling and saw much of the world with Bud. She took many cruises with her husband, daughter and grandchildren and celebrated 50 years of marriage on a cruise to Alaska. Her only daughter, Deborah Simmons of Longmont, Colorado, married to son-in-law Wayne Simmons, CEO of Sundrop Fuels, survives Kay. Granddaughter, Carolyn Simmons, sophomore at University of Colorado, Boulder and grandson Chris Simmons, an engineering major at The Ohio State University also survive her.
