Cotner Kenneth Davis Cotner, age 51, of Circleville, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, August 10, 2014 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 21, 1963 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Donald U. and Jane Rae (Davis) Cotner. Kenny had his Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer designation and held many technical positions at Nationwide Insurance for 16 years. Prior to that, he worked as a greens keeper for Grove City Golf Course for 7 years. A graduate of Grove City H.S. Class of 1981, also attended The Ohio State University, majoring in horticulture. He was a member of Scioto Chapel United Methodist Church of Ashville. His passion was in his music, woodworking, and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lisa Lynne (Gillen); brothers, Andy (Jaye) Cotner of Lakeview, Bob Cotner of Ashville, Steve (Ann) Cotner and Chris (Debby) Cotner, both of Grove City; in-laws, Margaret and Floyd Gillen of San Antonio, Texas; sister-in-law, Cheryl McCall of San Antonio; numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014 with Pastor Debbie Nance officiating at Scioto Chapel United Methodist Church, 6337 St. Rt. 316 W.. Ashville, Ohio 43103. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. The family is grateful for the love and comfort from the staff of Berger Hospice with a special thanks to his nurse, Carrie.
