Breese Kenneth H. "Ken" Breese, 68, of Zanesville, passed away at his home Wednesday, April 9, 2014 surrounded by his loving family following a three year battle with cancer. He was born December 24, 1945 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, the son of the late M. Harold and Neva Adeline Masterson Breese. Ken graduated from New Lexington High School in 1964 and graduated from The Ohio State University in 1971. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and former owner operator of Breese & Obenour. He is survived by a son, Richard Matthew Breese of Zanesville; daughters, Jennifer (Doug) Guthrie and Heather (Joshua) Weaver, both of Zanesville; sister, Judy Breese of Columbus; brothers, Robert A. (Pamela) Breese of Portersville and Rick (Jerri Lynn) Breese of Rushville; grandchildren, Trevor and Zachary Guthrie, Noah and Jonah Bates, and Justice Weaver; several nieces and nephews; and in laws; and longtime friends, Scott Obenour and Ron LaAsmar; faithful companion, Samson, his beloved cat. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife Ardith E Sidwell Breese who passed away July 15, 2010, and twin infants Paul and Paula Breese. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at DeLONG-BAKER & LANNING FUNERAL HOME where service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with interment at Zion Cemetery in Portersville, Ohio.
