MYERS Lois Marion Myers, age 75, of Columbus, OH, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 in the Villa Angela Care Center. She was born March 6, 1937 in Uniontown, PA the daughter of the late Lawrence Myers and Marion Elleard Myers. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a good friend Nancy J. Crown. Lois was a 1955 graduate of Uniontown High School. She was a member of Summit on 16th United Methodist Church in Columbus, OH. After graduation from high school Lois moved to Columbus, OH and worked at the Firestone Tire Company for several years. She retired from the Columbus City School System. Lois was a member of the "Lois Club", Riverside Methodist Hospital Sewing Guild, through which innumerable lives were touched by her lovingly sewn and knitted items; and she proudly served as a "Redcoat" with the Ohio State University Department of Athletics and at the Jerome Schottenstein Center. She was collector of pigs. Lois is survived by her sister, Ruth Voorhes of Bradenton, FL; and brother, Lawrence Myers of Lemont Furnace, PA; two nieces, Linda (John) Progar and Dawn Myers; numerous cousins and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA, where family and friends may call on Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. A service celebrating Lois's life will be held at 4 p.m. with Pastor Don Kephart officiating.
