Hukill Margaret "Megg" Anne Hukill, born February 17, 1924, died peacefully on July 25, 2014, at her home at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her parents Laura Bebb Jones Hukill and Ralph Wentworth Hukill. She grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she attended Walnut Hills Schools. She then attended the University of Wisconsin where she earned her BS in 1946. Megg was married for a short time to John G. Kinn. She was Phi Kappa Phi, Mortar Board, Pi Beta Phi and involved in many community services. She received a diploma in physical therapy and rehabilitation counseling in 1949 from Virginia Commonwealth University and her MS in physical therapy from William and Mary College in 1956. She was a licensed physical therapist in Ohio. Megg was professionally affiliated with the Medical College of Virginia, The Ohio Tuberculosis and Health Association, the Ohio State University College of Education, the Ohio Program in the Humanities of Capital University and Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She had a long career of caring for others in Columbus where she eventually settled. Megg was especially proud of her Welsh heritage. She attended the Miami Avenue Welsh Church until 1962 when she transferred her membership to Broad Street Presbyterian Church. There she served as elder, trustee and choir member. She is a member of the Welsh Society of Central Ohio. She rarely missed a Gymafa Ganu (congregational singing of Welsh hymns). She visited Elder Hostels and Chautauqua regularly. She is predeceased by her roommate and very dear friend, Audrey Evans and is survived by her dear traveling friend, Peggy Gazette of Spokane, Washington. Margy, as her family called her, is survived by many cousins of her mother's Welsh family. She is also survived by many dear friends whom she always considered family. A memorial service will be held at Broad Street Presbyterian Church, 760 E. Broad St., Columbus, on Thursday July 31 at 2 p.m. There will be a time to gather in the fellowship hall after the service to greet friends and family. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Broad Street Presbyterian Church or the Columbus Foundation to the Margaret A. Hukill fund. She had a heart full of love for others, which is evident by the donation of her estate to her favorite charities. Arrangements by EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 4171 E.
