Mary Jane Heischman Obituary
Heischman Mary Jane Heischman, passed away July 10, 2013. She was a graduate of Defiance College and attended The Ohio State University. She was a long-time member of Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church, the Reynoldsburg Senior Center, the DSCC golf course (Ladies Golf Association) and former member of the Silver Springs Shores Golf Course in Ocala, Florida. She loved her family, OSU football, handwork, reading, ballroom dancing and bridge. She was an avid golfer and won the ladies club championship at DSCC. She and her husband taught ballroom dancing at several senior centers in Columbus and its suburbs. Preceded in death by her parents Foster and Ida Woolery of Troy, Ohio, brothers Bob, Gene, Paul, Forrest and son-in-law Paul Jones of Worthington, Ohio. Also preceding in death was husband Robert Heischman, former superintendent of Reynoldsburg Schools. Jane taught school in Worthington, Delta, Fredericktown and Reynoldsburg, and was a long-time volunteer at the Life Center in Reynoldsburg. Survived by daughter, Polly Jones of Lewis Center; sons, Jon (Bonnie) of Pickerington and Dan of New York City; grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike) Leonard of Westerville, Trebor (Brittany) Jones of Silver Springs, FL, Jon (Meg) Heischman II of Pickerington, and Lyndsey (Adam) Kavelder of Dublin; great-grandsons, Ben and Brad Leonard; and great-granddaughter, Adalyn Kevelder; brother, Bill (Jean) Woolery; and sister-in-law, Betty Woolery of Troy. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12Noon on Saturday, July 13, 2013 in the chapel in Parkside, Wesley Ridge, 2225 Taylor Park Dr., Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. Private burial services at Glen Rest Memorial Estate were entrusted to SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Chapel at Wesley Ridge in her memory.
