Zorich Michael C. Zorich II, "Zoey", age 66, passed away July 30, 2013 after a long and heroic battle with multiple health issues. With family and a priest praying over him, he joined his loved ones who preceded him into heaven. Zoey graduated from Reynoldsburg High School in 1965. After attending The Ohio State University, he taught math/science in Whitehall and was a social worker in Columbus. He was most recently employed with Meijer. He actively served his country as an Army ROTC 1st Lt. An avid athlete, he ran marathons, played baseball and softball and officiated basketball. Zoey loved his Buckeyes and Boston Red Sox. Other passions included music, WWII history, and reading. Michael will best be remembered for his big heart, generous spirit and gentle soul. Even during his health trials, he always went the extra mile to help those less fortunate. Michael loved deeply and was greatly loved. Many thanks to family and friends who helped Zoey, with a special thank you to Bob Messenger for his selfless kidney donation to Michael. Zoey was pre-deceased by his parents, Michael and Bernadette Zorich.
