Cheeseman Mildred Ward Cheeseman, age 97, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 at her home. She was a resident of Columbus and Worthington, Ohio for 97 years. Graduate of Worthington High School, BS in Education as well as post-graduate work at The Ohio State University and Ohio University. She had various teaching positions with her last position being Franklin County MRDD. She is proceeded in death by her parents Jerry and Esther Ward, her husband Malcolm Cheeseman, sister Elizabeth Collins. She is survived by children, Ann Neff and John "Jerry" Cheeseman; sisters, Dory Shoemaker and Ditty Noethlich; grandchildren, Edward (Teresa) Nikodem, Rob (Stefanie) Nikodem, Jay (Emmi) Neff; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Chase, Avery Nikodem and Nina and Memphis Neff and many loving friends. Family will receive friends at SOUTHWICK-GOOD & FORTKAMP FUNERAL CHAPEL, 3100 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio on Monday, August 11, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. with funeral service to follow at 10 a.m. Pastor Mike Willis (family friend) officiating.
