Martin Noel C. Martin, 84, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 in the Palliative Care Unit at Fairfield Medical Center with loved ones by his side. He was born on September 23, 1928 to the late Forest and Ruth (Tuttle) Martin. Noel served in the United States Army during the Korean War where he received the Korean service medal with 4 bronze campaign stars. He was a member of the Lancaster Grange, Local Electrical Union 683 for 50 years and Faith Memorial Church. Noel is survived by loving wife, Joanne (Bobbitt) Martin; son, Larry R. Valentine; daughter, Marcia Beatty; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grand-children and six great great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Noel was preceded in death by his 1st wife Patricia Neibling Martin, sister Rosemary Probasco, daughter Sharen Reyes. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 23 at 10 a.m. at SHERIDAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Mel Truex officiating. Burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery where a military graveside service will be conducted by the Lancaster Ohio Veterans Burial Detail. Family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and also 1 hour prior to the service. The family would like to give a special thanks to all the staff at Fairfield Kidney Center and at the Fairfield Medical Center for all their wonderful care they provided Noel.
