FISCHER Norman H. Fischer entered into the presence of Jesus Christ on Thursday, November 22, 2012. Born to Harvey and Mildred Fischer in Cleveland, Ohio, Norm was the second of three children. From 1985 until the time of his death, Norm lived as a workman created in Christ's image serving as deacon, Bible Study Fellowship leadership, prayer team ministry chairman, pre-school Sunday School teacher and was founder of a church-based summer daycare program. Norm loved the Lord his God with all of his heart, soul, mind and strength. Earning a Master of Science degree from Ohio State University in 1966 and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1963, Norm's career spanned 40 years at Battelle Memorial Institute, Columbus, Ohio, including guidance, navigation and controls engineering on the Titan rocket program. Following 13 years of illness with Parkinson's Disease, Norm was diagnosed with late-stage brain cancer in August 2012. Norm is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy; brother, Robert (Gloria), Indianapolis, Indiana; brother, Charles (Elaine), New Salisbury, Indiana; Uncle Bob and Aunt Harriett Karemer; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by both parents.
