CLARK Olga Victoria Susan Jane (Shankie Paun) Clark, age 98, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at First Community Village. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, on December 6, 1913, to the late Andrew and Susan (Forrest) Shankie. A graduate of Lincoln Park High School, she earned her Masters of Education from the University of Michigan. She taught grades K-5 for Lincoln Park Schools with an emphasis on kindergarten and 1st grade. In Columbus, she volunteered at Tremont Elementary School and Whetstone Care Center. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Olga enjoyed watercolor painting and Judy Backoff's "Lifelong Learning" exercise class. She was preceded in death by her first husband Max Paun, second husband Dexter Clark and siblings Marion and Robert. Olga is survived by her children, Barbara Maxine (William) Cook, Mark Andrew (Rebecca) Paun, Susan (Salvador) Garcia, and Maggie (Charles) Whyte; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
