Buxton Owen "Ed" Buxton, Jr., 88, of Columbus, passed away suddenly, but peacefully, on Wednesday, October 23, 2013. Dad was a WWII veteran in the Army-Air Corps. He was a professor of mechanical engineering at The Ohio State University for 25 years and was an international engineering consultant for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers for 35 years. Dad was an avid bridge player, enjoyed everything about aviation, and loved traveling all over the world. He was a long-time coach of the Worthington Steel traveling baseball team. Dad was loved by all and will be sadly missed. United in death with his loving wife Marti, he is survived by his children, George (Sheila), Bruce (Molly), Joanne (Wes) Corazalla, Mark (Debbie) and Sheryl (Eric) Jones; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
