Persons Pearline "Pearl" Persons, 87, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, October 25, 2013 at Mt. Carmel-St. Ann's Hospital. Mrs. Persons was born April 6, 1926 in Montgomery, Alabama, daughter of Lois and Mary Jimmie Farmer Weatherly. She lived in Chicago, IL, Youngstown, OH, and Houston, TX before moving to Columbus in 2001; to Montgomery in 2008, and back to Columbus earlier this year. She retired from General Motors, Lordstown. Mrs. Persons was a member of the Church of Christ and was very active with teaching and attending classes and the Seniors programs where ever she was attending church. Mrs. Persons leaves to cherish her memory son, Julius C. Persons of Conroe, TX; daughter, Patricia A. Watts of Columbus; two brothers, Lacy L. Weatherly (Ruth) and Jerry Pinkston of Montgomery, AL; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Samuel, Robert, Ulysses, David, and Lester, sister Mary Armstrong, sons Theodore Persons and David L. Weatherly, son-in-law Michael Watts, daughter-in-law Josie Persons, grandson Julius Persons II and great-granddaughter Jaiden Alston. Visitation 11 a.m. and Service 12Noon Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Genessee Avenue Church of Christ, 1889 Genessee Avenue. Service and Interment will be concluded in Montgomery, Alabama.
