Leatherman Peter Alfred Leatherman, 26, of Marysville, formerly of Worthington, died Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Nationwide Children's Hospital following a life-long battle with cystic fibrosis. Pete received a dual lung transplant in 2012 and as a result of complications with the transplant, he lost his life. A 2006 graduate and valedictorian of Worthington Kilbourne High School, he received a bachelor's degree in 2011 from The Ohio State University and was pursuing a master's degree in chemical engineering at The University of Dayton. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Thursday at UNDERWOOD FUNERAL HOME, 703 E. Fifth St., Marysville, OH 43040. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1099 West Fifth Street in Marysville. The Rev. Fr. David A. Poliafico will officiate. The family will receive friends back at their home following the funeral mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the Peter A.
