Hiebel Raymond E. Hiebel, age 91, of Pickerington, died Monday, April 29, 2013 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Born January 17, 1922 in Zanesville to the late Carl and Beatrice Eleanor "Dot" (Lingle) Hiebel, he was a graduate of St. Nicholas High School in Zanesville and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a former machinist, retired manager for F.W. Woolworth, and later worked for Central Ohio Coal. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Pickerington. Survived by his children, Stephen (Frances) Hiebel, Newark, Thomas (Chris) Hiebel, Granville, Raegene (Robert) Wood, Mary Jo (Robb) Hammond, both of Canal Winchester; grandchildren, Bethanie (Thad) Fink, Kevin (Beth) Hiebel, Brian (Amanda) Hiebel, Mariah (Adam) Gibbs, Adam and Kent Hiebel, Jonathan, Jordan and Kristen Wood, Grant and Alli Hammond; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jacob, Sarah Jo, Grace, Jenna Grace, Jack, Grant, Ella and London; sister, Eleanor Riggle; brothers, Joseph and Donald Hiebel; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Jean Elizabeth Hiebel in 2007 and brothers Robert, Ralph, Lewis and Hank Hiebel. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a,m, Thursday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 600 Hill Rd. N., Pickerington. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Zanesville Memorial Park.
