Davidson Richard Louis Davidson was born September 28,1925 in Duluth, MN. He passed away on December 4,2013 in Westerville, OH. He was a WWII veteran serving as a fireman and a machinist on the aircraft carrier Savo Island in the South Pacific. He was a graduate of the University of Minnesota Duluth Branch. He was a Senior Engineer at Western Electric and was employed by them from 1958 until he retired in 1983. He enjoyed flying, he got his pilot license at age 40. He was a member of the Central Ohio Flyers Association, COFA. He enjoyed motorcycling with his wife Zoa. He also enjoyed recreational target shooting and was a member of the Westerville Sr. Rifle Club. He married Zoa Mae Cutts April 27, 1946. His children are Sandra Jo Davidson Jooss, son-in-law, Carl Jooss, Rena Hobbs and Oscar Davidson and daughter-in-law, Michele, and Wendy Rae Davidson. His grandchildren being Jenny Jooss Wielinski and her husband, Todd, Jody Jooss, Perry Jooss and his wife, Jill Rike Jooss, Darrel Hobbs and his wife, Angie Harrington Hobbs, David Hobbs and Jessica Haywood, Michael Hornung, and Mickey Davidson. His great grandchildren are Gunnar and Ella Wielinski, Kyle, Nathan, and Grant Jooss, Riley Hobbs, Atticus and Eli Hobbs. He was preceded in death by his wife Zoa and daughter Wendy Rae, his father David Davidson and mother Serena Davidson, sister Dorothy and brother-in-law Melvin Frantz, brother-in-law Robert McLeod, brother Kenneth and sister-in-law Alice Davidson, brother Gerald, sister-in-law Shirley, twin brothers James and John Davidson. Survived by sister, Carol McLeod; brother, Harold and sister-in-law, Virginia "Toots" Davidson; sister-in-law, Jean Davidson; brother, Robert "Bobby" Davidson and sister-in-law, Loretta; brother, Donald Davidson; sister-in-law, Iris Davidson Archibald; and brother, William Davidson and sister-in-law, Ginnie Davdson; and many cousins,nieces and nephews too numeous to be included.
