Hittle Robert Lee Hittle, Sr., 83, passed away in Las Vegas, NV, May 8, 2013 of a broken heart. His beloved wife of 64 years, Helen (Link) preceded him in death on February 22, 2013 of this year and Bob never recovered from the devastating loss. He is survived by his children, Bob, Jr. (Cindi) and Tom (Mary Lou) of Columbus, OH, Michael (Karen) of Veradale, WA, Marilyn (Larry) Cochran and Roger (Linda) of Las Vegas, NV and Sarina (Jungi) Aguilar of Cimarron, NM; by his 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; as well as dozens of nieces and nephews. Born September 28, 1929 to the late William and Leola (Rousculp), he is survived by siblings, William of Lima, OH, and JoEllen Slee of Los Angeles, CA. He was preceded in death by his brother Roger who died in the Korean War and by his grandson Rogie (Roger Hittle, III). Bob graduated from Lima Shawnee High School in 1947 and attended Ohio State University. He managed the Charbert's restaurants for decades before becoming a bus driver for the Worthington Ohio School District. He was an integral part of the Northern Columbus Little League, coaching the Renegades for many years. He was an avid sports fan and a logophile extraordinaire. Upon his retirement, Bob and Helen lived in Cimarron, NM for 10 years before moving to Las Vegas, NV. As per his wishes there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will be appreciated.
