Krause Robert William Krause, age 90, died Friday, December 13, 2013 at Westminster Thurber Community. Preceded in death by brother Paul Krause. Survived by wife of 67 years, Gloria Weiser Krause; children, Robert R. and Joan Krause; and many friends. For Bob, no matter who you were, you were a "pal" and he likely had a joke for you. Graduated from the University of Iowa, where he met his wife. He had a lifelong career in Journalism. He retired from Nationwide Insurance with nearly 30 years of service as an editor for many publications. An avid reader of 3 newspapers daily, he was also a contributor to The Booster since 1990. Bob worked as a volunteer for many years on behalf of people with disabilities with ARC, ADD, FCBDD, and Sports Club at Easton. He traveled throughout the U.S. with family and friends, and enjoyed a membership at Olympic Swim Club since 1959. A lifelong Yankees fan, he was present for Lou Gehrig's last appearance at Yankee Stadium. Facilitated the current events at Westminster Thurber for close to 10 years. He had a passion for many kinds of music and was a lover of all the arts. The family will have a memorial celebration at a later date.
