Ronald E. Kerby Obituary
Kerby Ronald E. Kerby, DMD, 63 of Upper Arlington, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on July 26, 2014, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born September 9, 1950 in Mineola, NY to the late Frank and Gladys Kerby and grew up on Long Island, NY. He attended Washington & Jefferson College, PA from '68-'72 and received his DMD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force from '79-83. Dr. Kerby moved to Columbus, OH to attend the Endodontic Residency Program from '83-'84. He practiced general dentistry for several years before becoming a part time teacher at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He became a full time professor in the Division of Restorative, Prosthetic and Primary Care Dentistry from 1986 to the present. Dr. Kerby and his late wife, Theresa were members of Xenos Christian Fellowship of Columbus, where he has been a member for over 20 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years Theresa (Gillespie) Kerby. He is survived by his mother in law, June Gillespie; sister in law, Patricia (Ron) Phillips; a special friend of 30 years, Mary Ann Mascarello. She and her family were his God given family. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Xenos Christian Fellowship, 1340 Community Park Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43229, where family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to the time of service. Arrangements are entrusted to SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington. Private interment in Cannonsburg, PA.
