Peitzke Ruth Ann Peitzke, age 90, passed away August 27, 2013 in Columbus, OH. Preceded in death by husband James E. Peitzke, parents Edith and William James, sister Carolyn James, brother-in-law George F. Ramsey, as well as other family members. Ruth Ann is survived by her sister, Margaret J. Ramsey; daughter, Jayne Peitzke (Craig) Canaday; devoted cousins, Joanne Lausch and Norma Patton Demorest; and close family friends and neighbors, Max and Jane Rhoades and Mike and Cathy Kapp and their family. Ruth Ann was born in Wellston, OH and graduated from Wellston High School. Member of North Broadway United Methodist Church. She was a Real Estate Broker, did some accounting work and managed her sister Carolyn's Beauty Salon which is still in business today. Ruth Ann was an avid bowler and served as Treasurer of The O.S.U. Bowling League the last few years. She was also an accomplished pianist and studied under Professor George Haddad at The Ohio State University. Ruth Ann loved music and sang in the Church choir, as well as served as a devoted usher there for a number of years. She was also a devoted follower of The Brass Band of Columbus. Family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m., Friday, August 30, 2013 at the WEIR-AREND FUNERAL HOME, 4221 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43214 (3 blocks S. of Henderson Rd.) and 1/2 hour prior to the 11 a.m. service Saturday, August 31 at North Broadway United Methodist Church, 48 E.
