ADAMS Sara J. "Sally" Adams, of Columbus, died Sunday, November 13, 2011, after a defiant battle with cancer. She was born May 22, 1942 in Neenah, WI and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she worked two years on lipid and protein research. Sally moved to Columbus where she worked and retired from the Ohio Dept. of Health. She was passionate about gardening, music, art, world history, needlework and reading, following in the footsteps of her librarian mother. She traveled in Africa, Asia, Europe, Great Britain, Scandinavia, Russia and North America. During her travels, she continued to develop her knowledge, preparation, and enjoyment of ethnic foods. Sally will be remembered for her zest for life, love of family and friends, and gourmet cooking. Preceded in death by her mother Ruth S. Adams. She will be missed by her father, Chester W. Adams; brother, John Peter (Linda) Adams; nephew, Christopher P. Adams; niece, Alicia R. Adams; other beloved family members and many wonderful friends. A gathering of friends to honor and celebrate Sally's life will be Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 3-6 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington (Just South of I-270).
