Stewart McClellan Rose MD Obituary
Rose Stewart McClellan Rose, MD, died August 7, 2014. He was born in New Haven, Connecticut, on September 21, 1930, the son of Margaret Green Rose and William Horace Rose. Dr. Rose graduated from University High School and The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and Phi Chi Medical Fraternity; President of the Staff of OhioHealth Riverside and President of the Central Ohio Heart Association. He is survived by his wife, Ellen, of 61 years; two daughters, Elizabeth Rose (Richard) McPeak, and Katherine Kissane Rose. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Jennifer McPeak (Mark) Louthan and Andrew Stewart (Angela) McPeak; three great-grandchildren, Aidan Louthan, Ava Rose Louthan and Claire Rose McPeak; two step-grandchildren, Derek (Sarah) McPeak, James (Jill) McPeak; five step great-children, Kelly McPeak, Joel McPeak, Aaron McPeak, Sam McPeak and Caleb McPeak; sister, Mary Rose Webster of Binghampton, New York; and two nephews, William Webster and Charles Webster. Service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 125 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215 on Monday, August 11 at 4 p.m. with the Reverend Richard Burnett and The Reverend Stephen Applegate officiating. There will be no calling hours, In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Stewart's memory to the OhioHealth Foundation in care of Riverside Methodist Heart Care Services, 180 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215 or WOSU, 2400 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, Ohio 43210. SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL is honored to handle the funeral arrangements. A private family burial service with interment at Union Cemetery will be held at a later date.
